wd my passport ultra not seen

Hi my wd my passport ultra was working fine this morning when I plugged it in I did not get a prompt to open the drive I went in to disk management and didn't see the drive but in device manager it comes up but I can't view the files.the drive is not making any clicking sounds or strange sounds and the drive led is acting normal its not a power issue have tried every port on my computer and have tried mutiple other computers
 
Hi llamalover77. This sounds pretty unfortunate indeed 🙁. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your drive. Good job on trying the drive with other computer, but I'd also suggest that you try it with a different USB cable as well (not longer than 12"), hopefully it turns out to be a faulty cable. You could also try accessing it via Linux Live USB/CD to see if it's recognized properly this way so that you can retrieve your data. After you recover your data, or if you don't need to recover anything from the drive, I'd suggest that you download DLG (Data Lifeguard Diagnostic) and run both tests (Quick and Extended) to see if any errors or bad sectors pop-up.
