WD My Passport Ultra USB 3.0 1TB becomes USB 2.0

My external hard drive is USB 3.0, but since many months ago, all devices recognized it as USB 2.0 and the speed turns very slow. It not has recived any damage. I format it and nothing change. Please tellme whats to do?
