Hi,
I'm using an external WD My Passport Ultra hdd with usb 3.0 port on back of case, cable(came with HDD) and i'm getting slow transfer rates.

When I'm transferring data to my pc usually large files of 20-30 GBs i get 55 mbps and around 40 mbps when transferring to hard disk.

My PC's specs:

CPU: intel i5 3450
GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GTX 960 4gb
MOTHERBOARD: gigabyte ga-b75m-d3h
RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3
SSD: SAMSUNG 850 Evo ssd 120 gb (Primary, OS)
HDD: WD 500 gb (Internal, Secondary)
HDD: WD My Passport Ultra 2 TB (External)

I also used HDTune on 2 of my hard disk. One is internal and other is external.

Screenshots:

WD My Passport Ultra 2 TB (External): http://i.imgur.com/ALRKvgc.png

Are these speed patterns normal? How can i get better usb 3.0 speed?

Your benchmark for the my passport drives seems righ on themark to me. My 1tb drive managed 40 to 60 also and I dont imagine the 2tb is much quicker. Run an AS-SSd benchmark on it and see if you get about 120MB/s in the 4k test.
Hi there Vinny and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such issues with your drive. The graph and results for the WD Blue drive seems to be normal for this model.
Now for the "My Passport" drive - it really seems like something's not right with the speeds you're getting. Are you sure that you're using one of the USB 3.0 ports and not one of the 2.0 USB ports? I'd recommend that you try with a different USB 3.0 drive or USB flash drive, to see if you get the same results. You could also try the drive with a different computer and/or a different USB cable (not longer than 12"), to check if the same thing happens.
I'd also suggest that you backup your data and download DLG (Data Lifeguard Diagnostics) and run both tests (Quick and Extended), to see what's the situation with the drive and if any errors or bad sectors pop-up. Here's how to do that: How to test a drive for problems using Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows

Please let me know how everything goes.

Hi thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay . I have run the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics test on the hard disk and It passed the extended test. I have not yet tried a different USB 3.0 cable or a different computer.

Thankx for reply. I ran the test and here is the result for my passport disk:
