WD mybook sata to usb board swap

hi, i got a wd mybook wdbfjk0040hbk . the sata to usb board just died and i can't access my data when i try to connect it directly to the mobo it says needs to initialize .
i read here that if u swap the boards from another model you can access your data .
so I'm looking to buy a new mybook the exact model but i can only find the 1,2,3,5 tb versions mine is the 4tb version would that matter? do they have a different version of that board?
also i had a password set on my olddrive would that matter . i know the password though

yes,thats the part im looking for but they r always sold out or too expensive the same price as buying a new drive so i'dd rather buy a new mybook and-swap-the-board-at least then i'd get an extra new drive
