WD not visible

Hey, I bought a WD passport ultra 1TB external hard disc, its showing unallocated and "not initialized" under disk management, but not visible on My computer. On doing right click, it shows only properties and help.

I strongly recommend testing the drive using Data LifeGuard Diagnostics: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=aKcFsa
Run the extended test in the utility and let me know what the SMART status data shows!
