Help please, my wd 'my book' stopped being recognised by my pc

need more info than that go to the start menu and write disk management tell us if it shows anything their , also does it show on other pc's or laptops

I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the WD My Book external. :/
Can you check Disk management to see if it's recognized there?

If it does show up, please share the status of the WD My Book.

Another thing you should do is check your drive for any corrupted files or bad sectors by testing it with WD's Data LifeGuard tool.
