wd notebook crashed

Solution
Welcome to the community, CesLeha!

I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the WD My Book external. :/
Can you check Disk management to see if it's recognized there?
Here's a link that explains how to go there: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/disk-management-windows-7.htm
If it does show up, please share the status of the WD My Book.

Another thing you should do is check your drive for any corrupted files or bad sectors by testing it with WD's Data LifeGuard tool.
Here's a link to the utility: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=4e6cqI

Keep us posted with the results and giving us more details will indeed help a lot as @amd4lif3 mentioned.
Hope this was useful. :)
