WD purple For Video capture and general purpose

I own 1TB WD GREEN and 500 GB WD BLUE, but my WD BLUE got crashed 3 days ago now i want a good HDD without burning my pocket so i have decided to buy WD PURPLE

In India(Kolkata) price of 1TBs are :
WD GREEN = 3500 INR
WD BLUE = NOT AVAILABLE
WD PURPLE = 3850 INR
WD RED = NOT AVAILABLE
WD BLACK = 6000 INR

So im stuck with PURPLE cause it will give me 3 year warranty

just tell me guys is it a good drive for storing data for long time ?

purple is meant for video surveillance systems, not pc's. Although they will function they are not fined tuned for pc performance. If this is a boot drive I would recommend the black and if this is storage then green will be fine.

Thanks bro but i have bought WD PURPLE already and i also own WD green .. i have checked the speed of both GREEN/PURPLE on HD TUNE and found that GREEN is very stable but PURPLE is not that stable but have higher AVERAGE SPEED..
and GREEN is beating PURPLE in BURST RATE also

i lost 2 HDDs in 1 month so i bought PURPLE because its offering 3 YEARS warranty 👍

Black has 5yr warranty for not much more money... well, not here in the USA at least.
