WD Raptor 150Gb For Gaming

I just got a raptor for my birthday. How do I go about installing it, I want to keep my current hard drive for websurfing, itunes, dvd ripping, etc. and use the raptor solely for gaming avoiding all the background prosecces. I still have my Winblows xp install cd. Is it possible to alternate between the two drives in the same rig.

Asus A8n32-Sli dx
Ozc el ddr 400 platinum edition ram
Corsair HX 620w psu
xfx7900GTX
