Hey

I am upgrading one of my storage drives on my built PC.

Right now I have a 1TB WD Black drive. I do a lot of video editing in Premiere, and compositing work in After Effects/ Photoshop. All my work and projects are either stored on a 500gb SSD or my External.

Right now I have a 1TB Black Drive that is non work related (Stock Footage, Audio, Files, Documents etc.)

I want to upgrade from that 1TB to 4TB, and I realized performance isnt the top priority anymore. I want a 4TB drive that would last for like 5 years. But I dont want to sacrifice performance altogether, so I want to stick with a 7200 rpm drive.

I am looking at WD red Pro 4tb vs. WD Black 4tb

I am leaning toward the RED but wary about using a NAS drive in a regular PC. Would the Black last?

Which is the best for my needs? Reliability being the top priority and performance 2nd..

Thank you in advance, much appreciated.
