The WD SN550 1TB is very similarly priced to 2.5 SATA SSDs with DRAM, and I'm wondering which one I should go with.

Then at a similar price per GB, little reason to not go with the WD NVMe drive.

I've got the 1tb SN550 on an Asrock h310cm ITX ac, and it runs like a dream. 4.3-second bootup, and that one weird week where IDK what happened but it was 3.2s outta nowhere until I cleaned the build. But overall, games and programs have never loaded faster.

You probably could just go for a dramless SSDcause the few seconds of real-life difference for copying files and loading games compared to benchmarks aren't really that much of a difference. But if you've got the cash to haul ass I'd say go for NVME. You can always add a SATA anytime which was the mentality I went with.
