Hello,

I have an HP pavilion desktop TG01-2 with an HP 8906 SMVB mother board.

I have one SSD and one HD already but want to add more storage.

I want to buy this SSD.
WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4

I would greatly appreciate any answers on the following questions:

1- Is the WD SN850X compatible with my motherboard?

2- Are antistatic equipment needed for the installation?

Thank you

It's supposed to have One M.2 socket 3, Key M, (2280/2242) in which that SSD should be compatible. The other M.2 slot has A key and is not compatible.
No special safety measures are need.
Just make sure there is a distancer and it's screw for mounting are available.
