WD10EACS won't start after falling on the ground

I bought WD My Book Studio 1TB a couple of years ago, but case electronics failed so I took off WD10EACS which was inside and used it through USB<->SATA adapter. Yesterday I put it on my PC and unfortunately it slipped off and fell on the ground. Since then it won't start anymore and when it is plugged in strange, but regular scratching noises come from inside, after several such noises drive turns off (but whenever I do something on my computer sequence repeats). I recorded a video which shows my issue:

What can be done about this? Can I repair it myself or somehow get the data back, or do I need to buy professional data recovery service?

A dropped hard drive that is now making noises and is unreadable is pretty much unfixable.

How much is the data worth to you?

That sounds like the head hitting the spinning platter. It is literally grinding off surface material.
