Hello,
How can I capture clips from WD-255U to a Laptop ( Lenovo T61 ) through IEEE-1394 ( Fire-wire )?

You will need to use video edditing software to capture the required clips.
You can try Microsoft's Movie Maker, or get some other software to do the job, maybe you got some with the camera. You can try Cyberlink Power Director or Corel Movie Factory free trial versions.
