So I’m installing access points on a beach for some clients. I want to know, is there a weatherproof box for sale that wouldn’t ruin the range of the access points?
Something designed for outsoor use is always going to be more reliable than something designed for indoor use and plonked in a plastic box.
Yes there are IP63, 65 or 67 boxes out there, but they are only up to their rating if used correctly, and obviously they will attenuate any signal trying to pass through them.
I guess you didn't like my recommendation of using outdoor rated access points in your other thread. High quality outdoor rated plastic boxes aren't cheap. The outdoor rated AP is a cheaper answer.
