Hi, I've come across a weird scenario where my web browser doesn't work; however, if im playing a game such as league of legends and on skype at the same time. Both work fine, what i end up having to do to get the web browser is power cycle my router.
My router is a Dlink 655. I'm with Shaw communications and i have a cable connection. This recently started to happen when I went back with Shaw as my cable provider-before I only had internet with them and no real problems. At the start of the internet cable itself, there is a splitter- it's splits to the tv box and my modem. I've even gone to shaw to go and get a new splitter to see if maybe the splitter was faulty. my router at times can be connected to as many as 3 or 4 things(laptop, pc, phone(s)); however, i don't think the problem lies with the amount of things that are connected to the router because I've sometimes had this problem even when the only thing connected to the router is my pc. The error message i get on the web browser is: "there is no internet connection", or something along those lines.
Any and all help would be appreciated, Thanks.
