Web cam not working after Laptop screen replacement help!

Laptop Model: HP Pavilion 15-n221sa

Hi there recently my laptop screen broke and I had to buy a replacement. This is not the first time a LCD screen has broken on me so I am familiar with replacing them.
My problem is after I had installed the new screen I realised my Web cam was not working the laptop registered it as not being connected. I opened up the screen once again and noticed the connector connecting the web cam was disconnected. Great! I said. I have found the problem. I reconnected the connector and booted back up. However the laptop is still saying the webcam is disconnected.
Need some help here guys

I have tried updating the drivers and had no luck.

Did you try to "re=detect hardware"? DO that in Device manager. YOu can't install drivers for a device that is "Not detected".

Tried. No new hardware was detected

THen it's either not connected - check for damaged pins, or the camera is defective on the new screen.
