Web camera to router

I just got a foscam camera. I am trying to be able to connect to it from my phone while I am not home. I am having one hell of a time trying to connect to my router, I haven't been able to yet. Can anyone give me a hand? I am using port forwarding, have followed all kinds of instructions I found on the web, and none work. I cannot get port 80 to open. I have a netgear wnr2000v2. Thanks

some ISP block port 80, use 8100 external and port forward it to internal port 80

external IP:8100

is the phone connected to the wifi of your router? if so you need to disconnect and use you phone provider to connect to your router externally. If you are connected to your wifi the router might not allow you to connect to the external IP.
