Web hosting choices?

Hi guys,

Thought I would ask here first before going ahead and signing up for a Go Daddy hosting account. Does any one know of a better service in terms of speed and reliability?

All of my searches on Google led to add driven sites so I was a bit suspicious to take their word as to the best hosting company.

Any feedback would be most helpful.

000Webhost is decent, and they're relatively cheap too.
