Web pages partially blocked

In WinXP SP2 IE 6, web pages are often only partially displayed, with
sections have the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" warning on it. These would
appear to be advertisements. Not that I mind not having them, but I would
like to know what is blocking them. Is it part of the Windows Firewall, and
if so, what is the over-ride? These aren't pop ups that are being blocked,
but parts of the web page on selected sites.

Thanks,
Fitz

Do you have SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D or similar or a custom HOSTS file?
