webcam as a timer

I'm interested in making some timing measurements with a webcam for a
science project. Any suggestions for software that will insert a timing
data (to about 0.1 sec) onto the captured video?
I guess I could always count frames bu I was looking for something more
elegant.

try active webcam www.pysoft.com

will insert times down to mS !
use time caption with format hh:nn:ss:ts:hs:ms
