Today I noticed that my webcam light was turned on and only a complete restart made it turn off (it was turned on until the screen went black), it didn't turn on after the restart.
I checked the laptop with Malwarebytes and Avast (both free version) and they found nothing. The webcam permissions are set to default (forgot to change them), so the default apps can access it (same with the microphone), plus Avast, Skype (not from the Microsoft Store) and Google Chrome (has remote desktop enabled).
At the time this happened I had Skype (was searching for a certain person) and Chrome open (with around 10 pages open in incognito mode), but was not actively using the camera (even the windows security tab showed an earlier activation time) and Avast was using real-time protection (webcam protection is not in the free version).
Do you think I should be worried about a potential hacking attempt? Or maybe it was turned on by accident? Maybe I visited a site, which turned it on (can't really remember every tab I had opened in Chrome, but most of them were reddit and outlook pages and google searches)?
Other than this I found no weird behavior.
