Webpages rarely load despite stable connection

We have Swisscom connection and using adsl2 + router of our own for wireless connectivity, it is working fine for the phone, laptop but on the iPad 80% of the times when I try to open webpages I get the error unable to connect to rompage server or sometimes directs to the Swisscom router configuration page
the same router we used to have in India and it worked fine with the iPad

do you have any funky dns settings on the i-pad?

DNS entry is same as the router
The error I get is
Object not found
The requested URL '--' was not found on the Rompager server

We have connected our wireless ADSL+ router with the ISP provided one and Is working fine with other devices except the i-pad..it accepted the same wifi user name and password as we used to have back there in India
The router configuration page On 192.168.1.1 directs to the details of swisscom connection and router
I am not very much into computers networking so its Lil bit difficult for me to understand all

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with your issue but if you are chaining routers in this way its usually better to make sure they are both configured with management, IP's in the same subnet (ip range), then turn the DHCP server off on one of the routers. Then Connect the ISP router to one of the LAN ports (not the WAN port), on your other router. This effectively turns the 2nd router in to a switch/access point rather than an internet gateway.

Why? Double NAT. The routers perform network address translation between the wan & lan ports. There is no need to do this on your 2nd router and it can cause issues like this if you do. It could be that the IPAD is truing to use UPNPnat.

I'm not sure how all of that would paly out but i'd recommend trying what I said.
