Seems silly not to, really. After all we have been getting good
regular attendance of 6-10 for well over a year. So, over the period
running from whenever i receive the prize pack until whenever we have
played out three rounds we will have a tourney in the Northcote hotel,
Francis avenue, Portsmouth, starting at 8. VPs and GWs will be tallied
in the usual way and in the fourth week the 5 highest-placed players
will tussle in the final. Entry will be free but you will need to
provide me with a decklist in a sealed envelope and you won't be able
to use a different deck from week to week if you want this to be a
sanctioned tourney. If everyone moans, bitches and complains about
this restriction then we will do it another way but your glorious
deeds will not be reflected in the official ratings. i will post again
with an official start date when i get the pack.

<Blink> Well golly, that was quick! The prize packs arrived yesterday
[Lambach's Legion left-overs, i'm sorry to say]. So, this rather
leisurely tourney spread over four weeks is starting not this Wednesday
but next, ie the first Wednesday in April, roughly the 6th, i think.
It's free and there are prizes. If you think you might like to come
email me on the address below and i will send you my mobile number so
that we know to wait for you/pick you up if you are late. I know the
3-week + final thing looks as though it is fixed in favour of local
players but [a] local players ARE people too, and we are such a
bunch of slack-jawed troglodytes that a single decent game win is
likely to get you into the final. Also, if you are an out-of-towner you
get a free bed for the night and food. Legbiterish food is famously
good, as numerous brides of legbiter and some VTES players [David T,
Kevin M, Bleu, Rob, Pierre, James, i'm looking at you] will testify.
