So I bought a pc and two gpus from facebook marketplace.
Now I am hoping that it wasn't a scam.
So, heres the pc:
Cpu: already forgot its a pentium gold i think g4600 (what I remember when I opened it)
Ram: Gskill 8gb ddr4 ram (1 stick black pcb no heatsink)
Psu: (I think my main problem) Fractal design essential 500watt. I searched it up and I couldn't really find it. I'll attach a picture of what it supposed to look like. It also has ketchup and mustard cables not the black cables version. At the time of testing, I used one of my old ones (untested) that came with one of my used cases. it was a cougar st(x?)500watt psu with ketchup and mustard cables. It probably was like 10 years or older at the time when I was doing research 3 months ago.
Mobo: Gigabyte ga-h110m-h not sure about bios but I jumped the reset bios pins a few times.
Case: Fractal design case that the pc came with. Really poor case and the standoffs where literally part of the case. I hope it didn't scratch my mobo as I will check and update this post tommorow(hopefully)
Cooler: stock cooler
Storage: I have a sata ssd from samsung plugged in with windows 10 I also have another hdd
Gpu: I am using a quadro k600 that I know works for testing.

The pc is the main problem, I tried booting it with the original power supply and it didn't work. I tried to switch it with another (the cougar one that was said to be working) to test and it did work. I booted into bios and also loaded into windows. I haven't stressed tested it though as at the time I didn't have thermal paste on well enough (the bit that stuck on the cooler when I took it off). I also tested another board (prime b250m-k with i5 7500) with the same ram as well. It passed bios perfectly and worked.

I switched a bunch of stuff around. Now my memory (brain) is actual bad so I can't exactly remember what the cpu was. All I know was that it was a pentium gold and fit in the lga 1151 v1 socket. I know the cpu ends with a 600 or smth and a quick copilot session after, I may have realized something. I though the cpu was a g6400 before. before I'm pretty sure I say that after I wiped off the thermal paste off the cpu to check the model. Intel webpage said it was for lga 1151 and today I realized it may have been either in the wrong socket or something.I have a v1 mobo and if I was stupid it may have been the g4600.
Copilot said that the cpus can go into the socket but not function. It went in perfectly and worked the first time.
Now when everything is plugged in and turned on, it barely gets into the mobo manufacture screen and then turns totally off and maybe sometimes restart. Why?
I know for a fact that I put thermal paste on, and that the gpu worked before 100%.
Why does it now work? I'm testing the i5 and the other mobo tommorow. I'll update it when I get the results.
In the meantime I've done these things:
-Reset bios a handfull of times
-Turn on without the sata drives
-restarting and turning on the computer
-trying both the psus
-trying the mobo and stuff in a diff case
-putting ram into the two diff slots
-taking cmos battery out and putting it in
-spamming del to try enter bios when sometimes showing up the mobo company logo.

PLS HELPPP

Update: I got new ram that I can test with today

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

According to this;
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-H-rev-10-11-12/support#support-cpu
you will need at least version F20 to be able to use that processor on the socket.

You should host your images on a site like Imgur or their ilk and then pass on a link here for us to see. Please not that ketchup and mustard cables don't necessarily tell you if the unit is good or bad. Please take pictures of the Fractal case that you're stating. I don't recall Fractal having a case that had built in standoffs, unless you're referring to the board sitting flush with the motherboard tray, which would explain you having a short and the inability to fire up the system.

Your thread is a mish mash of things. IMHO, start fresh. Breadboard the system, wipe the thermal paste off the processor with isopropyl alcohol, note it's make and model, then remove the CPU from it's socket and inspect if you have any bent or broken pins. Inspect the ram stick and the slot in which it was seated.

Ram: Gskill 8gb ddr4 ram (1 stick black pcb no heatsink)
This holds little to no relevant info, apart from it's brand, you should take a pic of the stickered side of the ram stick.

So I bought a pc and two gpus from facebook marketplace.
Did you test the system before finalizing your purchase or was this site unseen?
