[SOLVED] Weird battery bump touching laptop case

Hi, I have a 4yrs old ASUS X456UV and as the title says one day I opened the case because I had been getting annoying black screens at boot that I couldn't fix and I found the weirdest tiny bump on my battery.

It's touching the inside of the case, which has changed color form silvery to bronze all around that point of contact in a 2cm radius and burnt black in the middle. So clearly there has been some electrical exchange between the battery and the case.
The battery itself has been slowly dying and is now basically useless weight since I can't unplug my laptop for even 5seconds.

I then decided to remove that battery completely and use the PC plugged, but I realized that there is probably no CMOS battery and my computer was using the main one for the BIOS as this hapoens with the battery removed :

1.When I turn off&unplug my computer the BIOS clock stops and restarts when I turn it on.

2.When I try to log in after it was unplugged with my current password it says there is no network and to use the old one.

3.Sometimes touchpad or keyboard don't work at boot, works when restarting.

4.BIOS does NOT detect 8 of the 12gb RAM ( it only detects the 4gb integrated one). I tried 2 different RAMs to make sure, and CPU-Z detects both. I'm not sure if that appeared when I removed the battery or before. Removing the 8gb RAM on top of the battery also prevents the black screen at boot somewhat.

5.Maybe not related- Computer turns on instantly when plugged in, without any input from me.

6.Finally, I can't find anything resembling a CMOS battery on the motherboard at all (I haven't looked everywhere but it would require completely removing the mobo which I'm not keen to do)

I am puzzled as to how that bump appeared, I never let my laptop fall, I do carry it around a bit but I have a protective sleeve and I'm careful.
And more importantly, what should I do now? Do you guys agree that the main battery was holding the BIOS info and remvoving it messed up stuff? Is it worth buying a new one or do you think my issues come from elsewhere?

I would really appreciate any help, I can't find similar issues on the internet and it's quite crippling.

Solution
My thought that the battery reached design EOL (End of life) and managed to erode from the inside out in the process of doing so.

Unfortunately the CMOS battery does appear to be under the motherboard.

Google "Asus X456UV CMOS battery replacement".

Many links and images: Just ensure that you do indeed reference an image or video that is a match to your Asus X456UV.

Yeah you're surely right that the batterie has just reached its "expiry date" but wow what I have is a unique consequence! It's the explanation that makes most sense tho since if it was a defect from factory problems would've appeared much sooner.

As for changing the CMOS I scoured the internet and all I find are videos/tutorials about Asus X5xx, nothing for the x456 line. It wouldn't be a problem if they were similar but to open mine you flip it upside down and remove the bottom of the case, when all the x5ss series are opened from the top, removing the keyboard panel.
I'm going to keep looking and try to carefully get that motherboard out, find the CMOS if it's there, change it, and see...
I assume I should leave the battery out forever now as well?

Regardless, thank you for your help

Update: I have opened it up, looked onnthe other side of the motherboard and... nothing. No CMOS to be seen. I can see where the BIOS chip is too but there just isnt a CMOS or I'm blind idk. I guess I'm replacing the battery now?
