Weird CSGO fps issue

Hello,

I am receiving really strange FPS numbers in CSGO. I currently have a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor and while playing CSGO I am getting 189 to 265 FPS during play. I know 144hz=144 FPS. Is this a known issue that others are having?

The framerate indicator on games tells you what frequency your graphics card is outputting at, not what is actually shown on the screen. You can run 1000fps through a 60hz monitor and it will display at 60 hz. As long as the fps does not drop below the frequency of your monitor, there should be no noticeable difference in smoothness.

It doesn't appear as smooth when it's that high.

then lock your fps.
there is a console command for that
"maxfps 144" orr "maxfps=144" not entirely sure
will prevent any output of more than 144frames
