Weird display shutoff.

Hey guys and girls, just a tap in for a little advice. I was sat browsing the SWTOR forums and my CPU or something went crazy i hear it all the time but its like something is processing, its either my hard drive or cpu it almost sounds like a grinding of some sort, sure i hear it all the time thats not my problem. The problem is while hearing it tonight my moniter refreshed its self. "shut off then on" i thought this mega odd, started searching for a cause. Only thing i could find was some MsMp.exe or something. Seemed to be using a bit of CPU, i read up that it was to do with a anti-virus, mine is microsoft security essentials. It wasnt scanning, it was idle, and has never caused a screen refresh before?. Any ideas what it could have been? Hoping it wasnt the PSU as thats only a few months old.


On a side note, this question is somewhat off topic, but. I just bought a Razer naga molten mouse, and a Logitech G19 keyboard, i was thinking of using the macro keys in certain games like SWTOR and such, but i heard its bannable to do so?. Whats the current standing on the community side of this?.

Ok yet again i cant edit my own messages, but in a reply to my own thread about the first question "the flashing moniter" I think i found the likly culprit.

I had a thought it could be windows update, so i checked. It looks like it was, as there was a graphics driver update at around the same time this occured.

Thoughts on this?. Also im still looking for an answer to resolve my perephirals question. Regards again dreadbeard.
