I try to connect my lcd tv which takes dvi-d in. When I connect it to my PC (nVidia Geforce) with a dual-link dvi cable, there's no picture, but signal is there. Cause if no signal, the tv will display "no signal".
Then I test it from a notebook (Intel 3000) with hdmi out (hdmi to dvi-d cable [single link]), everything is fine. And if I hot unplug the connection from notebook and plugin the one from PC, there's picture, until I turn off the tv, and then turn it back on, blank screen again. First I thought this could be a HDCP problem, but no, HDCP status is fine as shown in nvidia control panel. I even switched to another nvidia card, still the same, updated to the latest driver, no help.
I'm guessing something right is done by Intel, or the hdmi out. This is not an EDID problem, cause I checked the EDIDs in registries on both notebook and PC, they are the same, and both display cards selected native resolution of the tv.
