Question Weird flashing led on bootup

So, my computer started acting weird a few weeks ago when i turn on my computer the led on the monitor flashes and does that until it turns on the turning on process takes like 3 hours unless I completely turn it off and drain the power and when I do that it starts the flashing thing when the PC is off and when I turn it on it takes at most 30 minutes to turn on. Most of the times when the screen decides to turn on Windows and all the apps that open on startup have already been loaded/opened note:a very faint beep is heard when the led blinks or flashes... Any help ? Thanks

Ram:4gb ddr2
Cpu;:core 2 Duo e8500
PS:500 w
If I disconnect the vga cable it stops
