Weird frequent DNS issues

I keep experiencing DNS issues, where I can continue communicating via VOIP, streaming a video, or playing an online game, but can't establish new connections to web pages. The only way I can fix this is to disable my network adapter and re-enable it, which fixes the problem instantly.

I'm using TP-Link powerline adapters, connected (Obviously) to my router at one end and my PC at the other.

Anyone experienced anything like this? It happens upwards of 3 times every day.

What DNS are you using? Have you tried a new DNS yet? Google and Open DNS both offer free DNS service.

What makes you think it's a DNS issue? Can you open connections with IP addresses? Can you still ping websites when it happens? Have you tried a traceroute to google for example?
