Hi all,
i have a very weird issue with the Gigabyte GTX 970 (non g1 version).
i got the card 2 months ago, installed a lot of games (as expected), did benchmarks, all was fine. no game crashes, no problems. 3 weeks ago, did some overclocking, +150mhz on core, +200mhz on memory. ran benchmarks, all was fine. games were fine and in a short time, started crashing. so i removed the overclocking, got it back on default settings, games kept crashing. once got the nvd-something issue, that indicated there is a psu issue. changed psu, from 550w to 600w, still, games crashing. reinstalled windows, checked clocks, all was on default, games still would crash. sometimes would get bsod while gaming. anyways, is there a way to reset the gpu somehow to default factory settings? or anyone has had some similar issue like mine? or the gpu is having some weird issues and i should rma-it? here is the configuration i have:
intel core i7 4790
cooler master g550m psu
ram 8gb kinston hyperx 1600 mhz
ocz agility 3 120GB ssd
gigabyte ga-z97x-sli motherboard
gigabyte gtx 970 (non g1 gaming version)
cooler master nepton 140xl cpu cooler
