Weird gpu fan noise?

The fans are touching the heatsink. I would try blowing the card and fans with compressed air. Dirt can cause fans to spin off rotation. Can also be an issue with the berring. Did you touch the fan at all when the card was spinning?

As it's a newer card I would contact EVGA 1070 for possible replacement or service. The card may still be under warranty.

I didn't touch it while it was spinning at all. I will try the compressed air when I get some more. Is it okay to play while this occurs?

I wouldn't use the card if it has a fan issue like that. If it's touching the heatsink or something else that is causing resistance and will wear the motor or bearings out. Or damage the fins on the fan.

You may be able to isolate exactly where the fan is touching the heatsink if you listen closely enough. It may be just one piece of metal that could be bent out of the way.
