Hey guys,
I just upgraded to a new Sapphire Radeon R9 380 and everything has been going relatively smoothly except for this really odd behavior I am seeing in the game "Soma" by Frictional games.
Essentially, I am getting some weird, small flashes of light that only last for a frame or two, and only in certain cases when there seem to be some special shaders applied (underwater in game). I watched some videos just to double check, and this is not intended behavior.
The issue occurs regardless of resolution, and I tried a different port, cable, and monitor. If you watch the video below, the flashing spots seem to occur beneath the menu overlay. I am running the latest drivers for the card, and have tried the game's current and beta client.
My current build:
MB: MSI P67A-G43 (B3)
HDD: PNY XLR8 240GB SSD
PSU: KINGWIN ABT-850MM
OS: Windows 10
Video of the issue:
So, I'm not sure what steps to take from here... I'm hesitant to say its a bad card because I haven't seen issues in any other games. Could it be a power issue? Simply a matter of waiting for updated drivers? Any help would be appreciated!
