Dear all

I am having a few graphical anomalies when playing Onslaught, any map, on my
PC. Spec is a Athlon XP2800, NForce2, FX5900 and 1Gb Ram. Am using the 52.16
Detonators and the distortion only happens part way into a match. Anybody
having the same problem or have any ideas?

I have uploaded a couple of screenshots to here.

Cheers

Certainly appears to be a driver issue. Why are you using such an old
driver? You have a very new video card there and it probably needs the
new driver. Get the (Forceware) 56.72 driver directly off the nVidia
website and try it.

Also, check and make sure the cooling fan is spinning on the FX5900.

I was going to say overheating, as it only happens partway into a
match, but it's in the screenshots, so I'm not so sure. Try the
updated drivers, as Dan reccomends, and try opening the cover and
touching the chips when it's been running in the game for a while to
see if any of them are too hot to touch... [Those GPU cooling fans
are really cheap, and IME need frequent replacing or bearing
lubrication]

Dan well done that man! I got the driver after discovering the same problem
in Assault as well and after a couple of hours of hammer in ONS and AS no
corruptions.

Thanks very much.

All right! Glad you got things working again.

Overheating did occur to me as well but I have a sensor taped to the back of
the card on the other side of the GPU and it maxes out at 58C which is
reasonable in my eyes, though the hottest card I've had.

I did get the newer driver and it seems to have solved my problems. Thanks
for your input.

I'd say your card/comp is getting hot.
