Hi,

I'm unsure if this is a Windows 10 problem or not, but on my laptop with Windows 10, every now and then with videos I watch on either YouTube or VLC player get random splashes of a weird green color over it. It either appears as a thick bar at the top of the video, or randomly spread out over the picture.

I've tried turning hardware acceleration off on both VLC and Flash, but I'm not really sure what else to do.

Hi,

This usually means either your graphics card is not updated and/or your flash player is not updated as well.
Please try the following;

- Update your graphics video card to the latest version. Depending on your model;
>> For Nvidia, please go to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
>> For AMD, please go to http://support.amd.com/en-us/download#
And search and download the latest driver for your graphics card.

We will need to update as well your Flash Player plugin, This can be found easily via the official site of Adobe via ;
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

You may want to update your VLC Player as well. To do so, open VLC player, click on "Help", and click on "Check for updates..."
Same goes for your browser you are currently using. Please update your browser to the latest version.

Hello and thank you for your fast response.

I have a Dell laptop, and as far as I know I'm supposed to use the drivers off of the Dell website (the video driver being updated about a month ago). Should I instead update it through the Nvidia website?

Everything else listed is up to date.
