So really not sure how to approach this one. I think its the BIOS update, but couldn't tell.

I have a Gigabyte Aorus Z490 AX Pro motherboard, upgraded to the latest F21b BIOS for Windows 11 compatibility. Ever since upgrading, now and again the computer hangs. Nothing in the event logs, nothing to say "Disk X removed unexpectedly " or anything, just gone.

Its not overheating, I do leave my PC on 24/7 and its just mostly idle most of the time, can always tell its hung as the RGB Lights animation stop.

Can I downgrade the BIOS? Could it be anything else?

I always tell people never buy Gigabyte <removed by mod>, but I did as I got a good deal, or so I thought. D'oh!

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information (Windows 11 noted - beta or final release?)

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, howfull?

Noted that you are looking in the Event (Event Viewer) logs. That is good.

However, remember that Windows has other similar tools: Reliability History, Process Explorer (free via Microsoft).

Reference:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer

You can also use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe system performance. Use both tools but only one at a time.

Objective being to discover some system change or error that occurs when the system hangs.
