weird ip in gmail account activity

gmail alerted me that another ip was accessing my account at the same time I was, went to last account activity and sure enough, there was this sequence resembling a mac address -
2601:7:300:117:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx
thinking maybe someone sniffin around?

It is a IPv6 address. It very well could be your machine if the ISP supports IPv6

Accordint to that database, this address is assigned to Comcast.
If you are connected directly to the Internet (without modem), check your IPv6 address.
