Weird issue with hhd

I just switched my O/S over to my ssd from a hdd how I wanted to use my hdd as a secodart storage.I notice that when im at my desktop it dispears along with my cd drive.i run an open case so I can see its plugged in could this be a lack of power ? the hdd and the cd are on the same line for power I was told I cant overclock with a 960 sli due not having enough

Did you format the old drive? what os are you running.... Try running the setup with the ssd first and see if your vd rom is working that's really old tech you should be using a dvd drive these days ...

yea sorry its a dvd it still appears so far im running 8.1
