I got 2two 2tb seagate backup plus ext hdd and some1 tb backup plus and wd passport ,
Suddenly i faced a 2tb hdd failure to detect and the dead, So replaced it, now the replacement too died by connecting the pc but it was working on another pc, then replaced it again and died again on that pc, but all other 1tb hdd and pen drive are working fine on this pc but when ever i connet a 2tb backup plus it just slows down pc and hand ,then fails, unable to detect/unable to install driver etc, but the same 2tb drive work fine with other PC, i have tried connecting it with every usb slots ,changed cabinets etc, Other that this there is absolutely no problem, PC runs fine, detect usb, and all internal hdd,sdd works fine, I don't know what/where the problem lies ?Really confused ,Please help me to sort out this issue ,Motherboard and smps both are under doubt ,but still the pc runs just absolutely fine ?Help

Seagate quality is in the dumps right now. It's not even a little bit surprising that two of them failed. Right now, I'm in the middle of recovering a RAID array where 3 out of 12 drives had failed. All 2Tb Seagate drives.

The 3Tb ones were even worse. One model had such a high failure rate that they are in a class action suit for all the customers who got suck with them.

Buy yourself a Toshiba or HGST next time.

But these failed hdd do work with other pc but not in this perticular pc, so some problem is there in the pc which i want to find out,but again it runs fine all other drives fine, would it be smps or MB issue ?
