Weird LAN connection issue

I'm not sure where to put this so i just put it in networking, my issue is a bit odd, so ill start with some info:

I have a LAN connection to my PC, my GA-297X-SOC FORCE (mobo) has a Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2201 LAN chip.

Now the issue, ive been noticing some odd lag when playing games so i decided to run some test on my connection, it usually turns around 18 download and 0.72 upload, when pinging my PC through the cmd prompt i get weird fluctuations from 26-3000ms, yet pinging a LAPTOP (wifi) connected to the same network (home network) will only give between 1-4ms, same if i ping my PC from the laptop, ive noticed serious packet loss too, 40%-100%.

I just need someone to look at this and tell me what they think might be going on, i know my ISP isn't the best (Liberty in Puerto Rico) but it bugs me that my computer (A mid-high end gaming PC) is having these issues when connected through LAN and every other device is running without a hitch (well, as dandy as you can with this crappy ISP) i am considering changing my modem to a docsis 3 modem, but i want to see if i can fix this without doing so, since it'll mean i have to buy a new expensive modem. Any help will be extremely appreciated, ive been trying to deal with this issue since November and ive gotten pretty much nowhere. Thanks in advance.

You need to test with your laptop on a wired connection and ping the router ip to see if it is stable.

There are a massive number of posts about driver issues on the killer chipsets. You need to completely disable any of the killer software if you are running it. They also now have new drivers on killer site that removes all the special killer features.

I no longer consider motherboards with killer nics because of all the strange issues.

Thanks for letting me know about the killer chipset problems, im going to be testing out a driver reinstall and other options, and i had already considered connecting the laptop directly to test it, but its my brothers laptop and he usually takes it with him, ill post anything odd i find here just incase i need more help.
