Hey everyone,
like the title suggests, every time i boot my pc, weird lines and sometimes squares appeared the second i press the power button. I've already come to the conclusion that the GPU is the one to blame, I took it out and there are no more weird lines. The GPU is a 4-5 year old 560Ti and i've cleaned and replaced(?) it's thermal paste around 5 months ago. This has never happened to me with this card and i'm afraid it might be dead, is it? or do I just need to clean it again?

Edit: windows does boot normally with the card, but the resolution is terrible

check temp? make and model of the psu?
Usually runs at 70 degrees (c) under heavy load, it's an EVGA 560Ti, 2GB of VRAM.
PSU is a crappy Thermaltake TR2-500 PP but I doubt that it's the cause of the problem.
normally funky pixels are caused by failing VRAM....assuming your PSU and MB are up to snuff on adequate power delivery

I'd start looking for a newer GPU, try a new 1660 or RX580...
Yeah, I was already thinking of an upgrade, but can anything be done to save the 560? I was thinking of installing it in my younger brother's PC once I get a new one.
