Weird problem on boot up Need advice

Hey th, just a quick question regarding my rigs boot up. Sometimes (not always) when i boot the pc up, everything is well until it gets to the 8.1 windows logo, when the rig shuts down. When i turn it on again, everything thing works 100%. My guess is its a cold boot problem, but im not sure. I question this theory, because earlier, i had it on for a couple hours, turned it off, then on again, and it shuts off at windows logo. I find it strange and im looking for any advice on how to correct this. On a last note, i did find a temporary fix, by turning the pc off, flipping the back switch off for a few minuites, then flipping the switch back on, my pc does not experience this issue anymore, but after a few days give or take a few, it runs into the same problem. Possible early stage of PSU failure? I've experienced something similar also. New PSU fixed the issue.

Suggest trying another known working PSU (at hand or borrow one) in the system. Alternatively, could try the original PSU in another computer.
