I have been playing this game for about 2 hours a day, and sometime the game just force closes/kills itself. This happens at least 2 or 3 times times daily and it really bothers me because it screws up the rest of my computer too. So once i restart it is fine, but this shouldnt be happening. Thanks for any replies.

p.s. i tried all of the obvious things like drivers, reinstalling, etc.

Hey good to hear. That sounds a lot like that dragon age issue I was talking about. Something weird was going on with the FPS cap and some cards were throwing crashes unless vsync was on.

It is only by word of mouth but I read that the beta doesn't have a FPS cap. Hopefully it keeps stable for you now.

Fatal, I think that is a common issue. Issues updating has made their bug list. They suggest trying to run the updater as admin.
Well....

a few times when I log on and click on 'server browser' is just terminates the program. Then I go back and have to go to play now. I am not sure if it is my pc or because its beta or what but it works from play now.

However.. sometimes my current score/rank will not update. i.e. when I get enough xp to rank up it doesnt and just stays at current rank. This happened in 2142 when I played so idk if there is anyway to avoid it..

It is a beta, these things will happen, in fact it could be a good thing, so long as you send your detailed problem to Dice, so they can make sure the retail version doesn't do the same thing to you!

Either run memtest, or reduce any overclocks to stock, and then see if it crashes.

I have only had a couple of crashes, and none of them have actually been in-game, they are usually at the menu.

No bsod, or ctd, also I get massive fps so this whole beta has been a big success at least for me.

likewise. zero crashes in game, only at the menu. Im not concerned especially since it is a beta..

but mine is at any time during gameplay. it really annoys me lol, takes a while to restart and get back into game too..

edit: AAHHHHH and then i need to reinstall it cause it has some corrupt files. I am reallllllyyy starting to hate this damn beta.

I have all 4 RAM slots full (8GB) and Gigabyte had some issue with this particular chipset and filling all 4 RAM slots and undervolting. I took two out to see how it does now.

I suspect that I won't crash anymore with 4GB but you never know, being a beta, it could have a memory leak. I haven't had any BSOD before this.

I really wish this game would stop doing this... I love playing, but the second i see a freeze up, i know a black screen and then force close is iminent. then i need to restart my computer before it works.

Are you monitoring temps at all to see if it is a hardware issue? There was a strange issue with Dragon Age when it first came out where it wasn't capping the FPS and it would overheat GPUs if you weren't enabling vsync. This is completely random but maybe you can at least narrow it down to hardware or software.

Eh...I think rivatuner may be your best bet with an NV card.

vsync caps the FPS to your monitor refresh frequency in a nutshell. It usually helps with screen tearing but I find that in some cases, it causes a slight lag when you are turning quickly in FPS.

ah, but what are the temps under load ?

A great Nvidia software program for monitoring that kind of stuff is EVGA precision, you should go download it.

I wish ATI had something similar...although MSI afterburner isn't half bad.

I just said 55C. that is DURING the game.

Trying to do some temp monitoring last night, I found that it doesn't like alt + enter that well. It crashes to the desktop just about every time that I do that.

I got another crash when I was in a tank and got blown to bits. It was right on the explosion so I am wondering if it is just beta instability rather than being system related. I think I have had a few other crashings to the desktop but it isn't too often.

thanks, and unless there are any controls in the game that use alt and enter together or in combo, then i dont think thats what is causing my problem. but yea, beta instability sucks, but as long it works.

Never said i got a bsod. I am starting to think its driver related or more specificall, my gfx card. i just installed the newest drivers AGAIN. but same problem just less often. But after it crashes i need to restart because all visuals get messed up. Is my gfx card going bad or something?
