Hello,

I tried to fix my laptop for more than a month, the problem happens when i open any game even if it was potato, cpu usage would rocket to 100% and i cant do anything expect restarting.

this is hella annoying, today i tried to limit my cores to 1 and tried to run the game, for a weird reason it did work but it was laggy and sometimes it crashes
so why my cpu usage rockets to 100% on multicores while on 1 it seems to be fine most of the times lol
i dont want to limit it to 1 since it lags af.

btw i tried upgrading to win10
downgrading to win7 again
so its not a malware .

its not because overheat, i remember a program being installed. i think it was called 'restoro' , and when got deleted, this problem happened but idk how this has something to do with cpu usage since i did 2 clean installations.

Yes, you are cpu limited.
Run cpu-Z and tell us what your core speed is.
You can get 100% from having the cpu throttle to less than it's max capability,
Hence the reason to check thermals.

Or, you can get 100% from some app that has run amok.
In task manager, turn on the resource monitor and see what app is running the cpu the most.
It is unusual to see anything 100% on all cores.

I ran CPU-Z, it says 800mhz, and sometimes it jumps to 2500mhz
when i used cpucoreparking and set everything to 100%, the core speed is between 2300-2500 mhz all the time.

plus i did a cpu bench using cpu-z and the cpu temp reached 93C twice, and 98C once lol.

And apps can be different sometimes Steam eats the whole cpu, sometimes a system process.

it may be a thermal paste thing, but can i change it in laptops?

I did a clean install, nothing new.

Tried to do a benchmark using msi afterburner, the GPU usage is normal until the problem happens, it reaches 1%.

GPU temp is 40-50C, 60-70C in games.
