I've been searching on google for a few hours and found nothing that would solve my problem. An HDMI > Dvi adapter that I ordered came in the mail and I wanted to try it out on my second monitor. (Note my current card AMD Radeon 7570, does not support 2 outputs, only simultaneous display). For the first day, it worked great, and I was using it for a desktop extension so I could have my game on my main monitor, and Skype among other programs on my other. Today I noticed red dots appearing on the second monitor. I restarted my pc and unplugged the Hdmi > Dvi cable, then plugged it back in. It worked for about 5 minutes, then the dots returned.

I do not know how to fix this problem. Here's some information on the hardware.

- Hp 2009m (the monitor that is malfunctioning), 1600x900 resolution, 60mhz refresh rate
- Asus VS238 (main monitor) 1920x1080 resolution, 60mhz refresh rate,
- AMD Radeon 7570
- Using Extended Display
- The problem persists even when I duplicate my desktop

If the problem is with my graphics card (which I doubt) it's ok, as I have a 7770 coming in the mail Monday.

Tried that already. The dots are still there. My video card drivers are up to date as well.
