Question Weird squares on screen crash

Just found the screen frozen with black and white squares. Restarted my rig, got bunch of smaller squares in a vertical pattern during the motherboard splash screen, after that during windows loading screen, then screen goes black, pc resets and the loop restarts.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Assuming this is external graphics....I think the easiest way to find out if the gpu is failing is to try it in another machine. Those symptoms seem to me like the gpu may be failing.
I think there's also a decent chance it might be the power supply.
