As of recent i have updated my rig

Ryzen 7 5800x (New part no OC, old one was Intel Core i7-6700K, 4,0 GHz)
ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS(New part, old one was MSI Z170A GAMING M7 Z170
Corsair 16 GB DDR4-2400 Kit 2400Mhz (Old part)
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G (Old part)
Antec HCG750 Gold EC 750W ATX24 (New part)
and 2x HDD's and 2x SSD's (1 being my Windows install)

After building everything and checking if everything was running ok i started to play some games as usual. Now the problem arises when in certain games that didn't lag before they suddenly start to give heavy to small fps drops, think like running full 60 then jumping to 55 and sometimes even between 40 and 50. So I've checked the ram which wasn't running at the full 2400Mhz but that's easily fixed with 2 clicks in the bios, made sure the bios was updated, GPU drivers were updated, didn't install the chipset software cause it felt like it wasn't needed as much (this might be the kicker) and i did not re-install Windows after installing the new hardware. Even after re-installing Windows, installing the chipset drivers and just doing a fresh clean install of everything the lag is still there.

So my question is....where could this lag be coming from? I didn't have it before with the i7 and the games i tried it on i didn't change any settings either. I know the GPU and RAM need an upgrade aswell but it should be this much a drop should it? Any help with this is welcome.

Solution
If you notice any stutters while playing any game, I am willing to blame the video card first if anything.
If you want to, remove the video card for the time being, make sure the onboard graphics driver is installed correctly.

Try playing 2 different games and see what happens, have task manager open so you can see what is going on from start up to closing down of the games.

If its still happening, try asus technical support, if they don't know what the problem is, which is often..
Consider rmaing the mobo back to where it came from ok ? next get a much better quality mobo such as MSI or Gigabyte.

Is boost/PBO for CPU turned on ? Check load and frequency under load and during gaming.
Slow RAM can also be a problem, 3600MHz would be highly recommended.

Since you are coming from an -Intel- MSI based mobo system to a newer -AMD- asus mobo, I highly suggest you start off fresh again with a full clean install of windows 10, the windows 10 tool should give you the most recent os update from ms.

I think this will stop most of your stuttering and potential os system crashes in the near time future.

PBO is on Auto, which is default aint it?
And how would i check load and frequency? CPU-Z?

Aye i did a clean install of Windows already and installed the chipset drivers and everything (BIOS was already updated) but it just seems like either the GPU or the RAM is holding the CPU back like i can see im getting 60fps but i still notice a stutter from time to time

So in that case would a X570 board be better then? for example the ''MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus''?
