Question Weird Whine coming from newly built PC

Hi,

I have recently built a new PC and seem to have this weird issue with it when I load up a game like Battlefield 2042.

I get this weird whine sound and can't quite pin point what it is.

System:

i7 13700k
ASUS Prime A Wi-Fi
ASUS ROG STRIX 4080
Corsair Vengence 32 GB RAM
Seasonic Vertex 1000w PSU

I just want to make sure nothing is broken or anything!

Coil whine, likely coming from the GPU.

Try limiting your frame rate and see if it goes away, that will tell you where it is coming from. If you really don't like it, you can RMA the card and get a replacement. Though, coil whine is pretty common when pushing high frame rates.

okay thank you! I'll give that a go and see what happens. As long as it won't harm the parts I can deal with the noise.
