Recently, I got back into playing Monster Hunter World on my PC. I have a pretty good computer and can run the game fine. However, I notice after long sessions of gameplay (2+ hours), I wont be able to use many Windows features. For example, Wi-Fi networks wont show if I try to look for them, Task Manager doesn't populate Details and doesn't display any Performance information (All disk usage is at 0% and CPU and RAM are stuck at a random value), as well as various other issues.
When attempting to restart or shut down my PC after these issues begin, it takes a substantial amount of time for the PC to actually power off. I've tried running sfc /scannow, and it said some files were corrupt but couldn't be repaired. Could my hard drive be failing? Is this a different issue entirely? From what I can tell, this issue only happens when I play Monster Hunter World (granted I haven't tested it with other high-demanding games).
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
GeForce RTX 2080
32GB RAM
ROG STRIX BF-450
Windows and GPU driver are updated to the latest version
