Were any Parts Repaired?

I sent in an EVGA GFX Card and PSU. The GFX came in a box you would find off a shelf in stores. Like the box it came with after buying it. But the PSU however came in a foldable black box (not the box it would come with). My question is, were any repaired, or were they just repackaged and shipped back? Both of them I RMA'd not knowing which part was broken.

I sent both in the same box they came in. I think they replaced the GTX 960 box in a different one because the one I sent in had a little tear, and was missing a case badge (took it lol). The same goes for the PSU, except I had everything for it, now the PSU just came in a foldable box with nothing else.

RMA's normally tell you to put the items in a box you don't care about, because they use their own packaging when they send them back. Do they work now? Does it matter if one or both were repaired as long as they both work? No way to know for sure what they did unless you call in and they have records of it that they are willing to share with you.

The PSU may have been tested found to have no problems and sent back repacked as you found it. The card was most likely replaced with a new one. The new card may also have been a refurbished one packed as new. You can contact EVGA and get a PSU box if you ask for it. Yours may have been damaged in shipping so they could not use it on the return.

I've never heard of EVGA returning stuff without repairing it, unless the item was damaged in a way not covered by the warranty, so you should be perfectly fine. As Derza mentioned, the packaging they return stuff in is usually a generic box that they have for things like warranty returns or B-Ware stuff they sell direct from their online store, so you needn't be concerned. As long as you have all the parts you need to use both items, there's no issue.
